Our first company event – “Painters & Poets”

Okay so last night was great for our first event. Along with ATL2Nite.com/Jimmy Jones, we hosted a showcase full of talented poets, singers, and artists. The concept of an event like this is not uncommon….Several poetry sessions and performances while an artists creates a piece inspired by what they are hearing. The purpose of this event was to showcase local Atlanta talent as well as to expose the underground movement of art in Atlanta. Coming from D.C./MD I have never had a problem going out to Adam’s Morgan or Georgetown to find a live band playing soulful jazz until heart’s content, but down here I am finding it very difficult. All in all, the event was a success and will be even better next time around.
